In my teaching I like to incorporate a lot of technology. It motivates students of all learning styles. One of the newest tools available utilizes little handsets similar to a TV's remote control. Students answer questions projected onto a large screen by selecting the correct answer from a list and then pressing the correct button that corresponds. This data is then transmitted to the computer and kept in a "grade book". The computer then projects the results for the whole class in the form of a bar chart. This provides the students with a fun experience. Feedback is not only instant, it leaves the student with a positive glow and a smile on their face!

All of the places Mr. Pearse has travelled to. The small red dots indicate a short visit. Yellow medium dots indicate a stay of maybe a few months. Larger green dots indicate that I lived there. I created this map using a Google Spreadsheets and using the new Geo Chart feature. PRES students in Grade 4 will also be creating something simillar (United States version) which they will then publish to their digital portfolios.
