Blog Grading Plan
Two grades you will be receiving in computers involve the blog:
Blog Posting Grade
You are expected to have one posting completed by the new year. A blog posting must include the following:
- Catchy title.
- 100 words minimum.
- Large high quality picture.
- NO Citation Machine reference will be needed this year due to problems with the Citation Machine.
- Category.
We have 99 postings published as of today. At a minimum of 100 words per posting, that’s almost 10,000 words of student work. Great job everybody! If your posting is already published, then your grade is 100%. Students who have not completed their posting will receive a 50% grade. You have to have your posting published by the new year, otherwise your grade will be locked in as a 50% grade.
Participation Grade
Each student will receive a participation grade. The more you participate in the blog, the higher your grade. You will know how well you are participating in the blog by looking at the ranking on the side of the blog. The more comments you make, the higher your name rises in the ranking. The student at the top receives and A+ or 100%. The student at the bottom will receive a C- or 70%. Depending apon how high you are in the ranking will correlate with the grade you will receive. I think you are guys are fantastic. Such a great job from all. As of today, a total of 1474 comments have been created. This equates to a minimum of 44,000 words of comments by Butler students. Currently, you have 4,000 more words of comments then the Avon Middle School students. Wow, very impressive!
