What’s a Post?
A blog posting enables a community to start a specific subject area discussion. The more specific, the richer the comments that are made on the posting. Following are some pointers I found that will help you create a blog posting.
- Make your opinion known.
- Link like crazy (hyperlinks).
- Write less (high quality facts and vocabulary).
- 250 Words is enough.
- Make Headlines snappy (helps sell your comment).
- Write with passion.
- Include Bullet point lists (helps to simplify and communicate your facts).
- Edit your post (look for grammatical and spelling errors before posting).
- Make your posts easy to scan (again use high quality facts and vocabulary).
- Be consistent with your style.
- Litter the post with keywords.
- Reference any and all facts using Mr. Pearse’s Citation Machine.
1. Make your opinion known
People like blogs, they like blogs because they are written by people and not corporations. People want to know what people think, crazy as it sounds they want to know what you think. Tell them exactly what you think using the least amount of words possible.
2. Link like crazy.
Support your post with links to other web pages that are contextual to your post.
3. Write Less
Give the maximum amount of information with the least amount of words. Time is finite and people are infinitely busy. Blast your knowledge into the reader at the speed of sound.
4. 250 is enough
A long post is easier to forget and harder to get into. A short post is the opposite.
5. Make Headlines snappy
Contain your whole argument in your headline. Check out National newspapers to see how they do it.
6. Include bullet point lists
We all love lists, it structures the info in an easily digestible format.
7. Make your posts easy to scan
Every few paragraphs insert a sub heading. Make sentences and headlines short and to the point.
8. Be consistent with your style
People like to know what to expect, once you have settled on a style for your audience stick to it.
9. Litter the post with Keywords.
Think about what keywords people would use to search for your post and include them in the body text and headers. make sure the keyword placement is natural and does not seem out of place.
10. Edit your post
Good writing is in the editing. Before you hit the submit button, re-read your post and cut out the stuff that you don’t need.

Posts are cool in a way that I think of it. It gives you a chance to express your feelings on what the post is actually talking about. In fact, the more you think and research about a post, educates you more on how blogs work.
I love posts because you might not know if an important event is coming up and you can just check the subjects in the post section or you can learn something interesting that you have never heard about. Posts are great to have on a blog!
I think it will be cool when we get to make posts this year because students can find more about what other students are doing and what is happenng to other students. I already have ideas for the two posts im going to make. Posts also are great because they can start really interesting discussions about all kinds of topics.
I also agree that it is completely neccesary to have hyperlinks in all your posts.

My brother who is in 6th grade so he gets to make posts. It looks funner than making comments so I can`t wait to start making posts!

I want to start making posts because it looks a lot of fun. It will also will to be cool to see how many comments other kids will make about your posting and everone’s opinion about it. Also to see if your friends wrote about it and if they like it or not.
I think making a post will be fun. I’ll be in sixth grade in two years and then I will be making posts. In fact I think that it improves the knoledge of students because you get to learn more about the topic. Having other students comment on your post will be cool too. I think this is a very nice idea.
I think post are cool becuase it is the main topic of what is on a blog or a website or something.This page is also helpful becuase it helps you with how to make a post and how to make a good post fo your blog or website its also good becuase it gives you a great idea of what is expected in your postings and writing so my concluson is that this page was a awesome idea to do because then the students can see how a posting is formed and how it makes you get a good popular great amount ofcomments and peolple so that was my opinion on this page what is a post .
I think this page is good because it helps you understand what is a post and how t o make it a good post and how you should iclude facts and vaild facts in your information in your posting text also it helps you understand what YOU should do for a psting in a blog or website.
I think what is a post is for peope who need guidance in the blog what is a post would help those certain types of people who need help in the blog so thats why i think this page is good for people who does not understand the posts and the comments
I think this page is a good page because it explains what is a post and for people who dont know what a post is they can just look at this page and get a better understanding.
I think a post is the main topic of an article or news article or something also I think a post also include information that you need that people would read and would either agree or disagree to the posting topic and description.
I think that everyone should put posts up on mr.pearse I think they should all have at least 30 words. Everyone should right somthing different everytime and that is what I think.
This is a great page because it tell you how to make step by step. I agree that we should have 30 words a post. I disagree that we should have 250 words each post we do. thats not right. My arms would fall into a black hole. I think we should have at least 50 words.
This is a good page to look at if you have your own blog or if your making a posting on this website because it tells you step by step on what to do to make a posting. I think this is really helpful information for us students.
My definition of a post is a paragraph at least 5 and up sentences describing on a topic talked about in a blog. I think that people should make more posts so that the people who care about the blog can have something new to think about.
Posting should involve complete sentences and not using slang texting abreviations. It should be a paragraph explaining what you are talking about.
